Thermal Processes Research Group
Aims and Objectives
Thermal Processes Research Group is focused on:
- Determination of thermal behavior, gasification and pyrolysis potential of coal, plant and animal biomass, domestic and industrial wastes, sludge of domestic and industrial wastewater treatment plants;
- Synthesis gas production, clean-up, hydrogen purification by gasification and pyrolysis technologies;
- Carbon dioxide capture technologies;
- Production of carbon-rich material and activated carbon from solid outputs (biochar) of gasification and pyrolysis processes;
- Transition from pyrolysis product pyrolytic oil to platform chemicals.
